Hubdog Quick Guide to encoding Video for Windows Mobile devices
Video Encoding
Due to the wide diversity of Windows Mobile devices available out there, it is difficult for videocasters to provide a smooth media encoding format universally compatible with all types of Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and Smartphone. To resolve this playability issue, 3 scenarios can by considered by videocasters:
1. Target All devices by providing low-quality encoding video feeds.
2. Target New devices by providing medium/high-quality video feeds.
3. Provide two video feeds: one low-quality and one medium/high-quality and let users choose the format that best suits them
Encoding Profiles
This guide will show you 2 different encoding profiles for generating video content intended to be watched on Windows Mobile devices.
After encoding your content according to these profiles, all you will need to do is add your newly formatted videos as podcast enclosures to your RSS/XML feed.
